sewso excited to be blogging about the current Aspiring Designer's Challenge. Thanks for joining us.
I don't know about you, but sometimes outfitting my kids can seem a bit overwhelming. I love them to wear hand made and they love to wear it, but sometimes I run out of time, and we end up at a Big Box Store. Don't get me wrong, I love to shop as much as the next gal, but my fabric
hoardstash MIGHT BE out of control. And I should mention I live with the modesty police and a lot of girls' shorts on the market are not long enough to suit her. And so Simply Sweats and Shorts was born.
There are a few things I love about this pattern:
1. It's a Quick Sew--there are only 3 pieces for shorts and capris and only 5 for our cuffed pants version.
2. It's a Quick Sew--with sizes NB-24M, 2T-7 Unisex, and 8-16 Tween Girls.
3. Did I mention it's a Quick Sew?
These fun little pants go easily from playground...
to the playroom.
They are suitable for your dancer...
or your gymnast.
They are mother tested and kid approved.
These cuties can be made with sweatshirt knit (make sure it has a little stretch), French terry, jersey, cotton Lycra, and upcycled T-shirts (in the smaller sizes).
Our more adventurous seamstresses tried stretch twill and flannel.
The covered elastic waistband really stays up on even the most active fashionista or dapper dude!
Available in unisex pattern sizes NB-24 months...
Unisex Child Sizes 2T to 7....
and sizes 8-16 for our lovely tween girls. Rock On!
