Easter Sewing Week: MCM Studio Designs Gertie Dress

Hello all!  This is Linda from MCM Studio Designs.

This week I'm excited to share with the Betties for Easter Sewing week.  There will be lots of great patterns this week, so I hope you will stop back by again later this week.

The pattern that I chosen to spotlight this week is my Gertie's Soda Shop Dress.

It's a great choice for Easter because it has two sleeve options.  If you live in the northern part of the US like I do, you know that sometimes we still need a little bit of sleeve in the early spring.  The Gertie pattern gives you the choice of either long or short sleeves so that you can make the length that is perfect for you.

You also have the chance to try a different technique.  I have provided easy instructions for Madeira appliqué which is used for the collar portion of the dress.

Options for either a scalloped or round collar as well as scalloped or straight sleeve cuffs are available as well.

The difference is in the details.  Princess seams, cuffed sleeves, button down front, and tab detail in the back.  Don't worry, if you don't like buttons, snaps can be used in their place.

If the Gertie dress isn't your choice I hope that you will consider visiting my website and see if another of my patterns is more to your liking.  All of them will be 25% off at my website and prices will be reduced at Craftsy and you can use coupon code ESW2016 for 25% off at Etsy as well. The sale will run through Saturday March 12th.

Thanks for looking and please enter for a chance to win a free copy of the Gertie's Soda Shop Dress pattern by commenting below.  The winner will be drawn on Thursday, March 10.
